I have recently been made aware that Mirabai Chrin went on Toward the One in October. I am sure that many people here remember her as the person in charge of the kitchen as both Chef and Coordinator at many of Pir Vilayat’s retreats and Summer Camps. Personally, I met her first while on kitchen staff at the Colorado Summer Camp (1981 0r 82?). Mirabai also lived at and cooked at The Abode for many years until her retirement in the mid 2000’s when she went to live in a nearby town in Massachusetts. One of her practices was to send birthday cards to friends. The Heart and Wings seen here is part of a birthday greeting she sent to me some years ago. Mirabai was a talented artist as well as a master cook and a very large personality that I am sure many people met from time to time. Please post memories on https://sufiremembrance.net. My understanding is that there will be a Universal Worship Service created at the Abode to mark her passing, including the opportunity to share concerning her life as a Worker for the Message.
