Beloved Friends,
We are writing to let you know that Mahdiah Jacobs-Kahn passed on this morning.
Mahdiah is a beautiful example of someone who was able to include all people, all perspectives, all backgrounds, all experiences - all in love and acceptance in her heart. She was a dear friend, a powerful teacher, a great being, even to the last moments of her life.
Our hearts are full. We remember her surrounded in beauty, and we wish her great blessings as she journeys on into the realms of light and glory.
Love to you,
Devi and Sarmad
Dear Devi and Sarmad,
Ya Salaam. This is a great loss to the Inayatiyya. Mahdiah has been a pillar of our community, a grande dame, a fountain of wisdom, an astute commentator on our ways, a friend and a guide. Her presence for decades has been a comfort, a blessing, and a prompt for us to strive to do better. I will miss her greatly.
Love, Suhrawardi
Thank you for letting us know. She offered me great insight and support over the years. I wish her a happy journey home.
In love, always in love ~
Sharia
Thank you, dear Devi, for letting us know.
Through the years, Mahdiah was such a dedicated worker for the Message and a friend to all. Her spirit, inclusive vast mind, wisdom, and powerful healing services, supported so many of us on the path.
I will miss hearing her voice and enjoying her ease with life as it is.
Bon voyage, dear Mahdiah! May she be free, full of joy and bliss.
with love and light,
Aqdas
Holding Mahdiah with great appreciation, Wishing her peace and light as she continues her journey.
She will be missed.
My heart.
My love for this beautiful woman continues.
She was a mentor a guiding song. a healing presence and a dear friend.
Seeing her dancing in a purple Sari with bells on her ankles.
" it’s.cultural appropriation on earth, but not here. I am free ! You’l see ." In her masterful tone of wit and charm.
She is throwing her head back, laughing.in harmony with those bells.as she spins.
Shimering purple Sari silk flowing in spirals.
Dearest Devi, Amida, and friends of Mahdiah,
the sudden news of the passing of our beloved sister, friend, guide, and mentor cut through my heart with a searing grief, even whilst knowing that she is enroute to realms of freedom and light beyond this earthly life so fraught with limitation and challenge…I love her and will always cherish those precious moments we’ve shared together over the years - in our home, in her home, during many teas, lunches, dinners, walks and retreats together…Mahdiah has been a pillar of exceptional grace, kindness, wisdom and uncompromising truthfulness for our Inayatiyya family. May we always hold her in our hearts with love and gratitude for having had the privilege of knowing her and journeying together on the path Towards the One.
blessings on your continuing journey Mahdiah, and until we meet again, Saki
Devi: Wow. Thank you for telling us about this newest chapter in Mahdiah’s journey. She and I share decades of connections. We were both guided by Murshida Vera and I have mentioned to her more than once how much her voice sounds like Murshida’s voice in tone and in that subtle fiery essence.
I greatly respect that Mahdiah was always learning, always curious about the inner states of consciousness starting with herself. She entered the Raphaelite Work training not long after me and help set the parameters of the work as related to counseling - insight I very much appreciated.
Thank you Mahdiah for being a presence in my life - all our lives. We have a constant need for a being like you - one who can describe in detail the elephant in the room. Taking a spiritual bypass on the path of life was never an option with Mahdiah close by.
All my love to you and for your spreading light,
Jalil Buechel
May she Rest In Peace and with Murshid. God bless her beautiful being.
We will miss you and stay deeply connected with you in spirit.
Thank you for everything you have given to the Order and generations of Mureeds.
Love always,
Gayatri
A beautiful soul, dear friend, beloved one. Peace
Dear family of Mahdiah: I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that Mahdiah was very loved and appreciated by all who knew her in the Inayati Order. Mahdiah was a big presence, without even trying. Her magnetism drew many to her and made her presence felt in any room she was in. She was warm-hearted, wise, witty, supportive, friendly, kind, a good listener, a good story teller, real, truthful, funny, caring, in essence, a beautiful giving person with a healing personality! I am trying to fill this hole I am feeling at Mahdiah’s loss with all the light which I am feeling from the wonderful memories of Mahdiah that I have and now with all the comments I am reading from others who loved her too and from the imagined light of her presence continuing on to the next phase of her life’s journey, as an illuminated soul, part of the Spirit of Guidance. Love, Karima G.
