Imagination is a gift through which we can expand our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Imagination is a practice by which we can modulate consciousness, amplify our awareness, infuse light and life into the world, and transform our existence. Opening ourselves to these practices can increase the dimensionality of our faith.
The four sessions will focus on the simulation problem (how things seem to be); the dream – a purpose of true existence; practices of imagination; and ennobling relationships of curiosity, wonder, and opening into the adjacent possible.

Fr. Jonathan Wickham is the rector at All Saints Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi. This series is being offered as a Sunday morning adult spiritual formation class.

This session includes a meditation on experiencing the multidimensional tapestry of your soul. As Hazrat Inayat Khan said, awakening is becoming a natural human being. Openings to the sacred are available in every experience when we free ourselves from a dualistic vantage point. We are each a unique manifestation of the divine awakening in life, and we each have access to a unique part of divine wisdom that no one else ever could or will have access to. That wisdom is not prefigured, but rather emerges in our way of relationship with every manifestation of the divine. Practices are not the point but rather the means which enable us to become human-divine co-creators.
