The Inayatiyya: An Alchemical Retreat for Leaders of the Six Activities

Dear Inayatiyya Friends,

We are planning a very special leadership retreat for this coming winter. It will be five days of silence with Pir Zia on Mustang Island, off of the coast of Texas, February 13-19, 2020. This might be the retreat you have been waiting for, all designed for leaders of the Inayati Order’s Six Activities: The Esoteric School, the Sufi Healing Order, Universal Worship, Kinship, Knighthood of Purity, and Ziraat.

We will have room for 100 people in total with 48 staying on site at the Mustang Island Conference Center run by the Episcopal Church. There are many condos and other housing options on the island, with links and details on our website. Please register and plan housing in advance if you would like to be part of this retreat.

Also, please note on your calendar that Season of the Rose will be back at the Abode next summer, Friday, June 26 to Wednesday, July 1, 2020. We would like to see you there, too.

All details can be found on our website:

And here is the link to register (intentionally not on our website):

Hope to see you on Mustang Island!

Much love,
Alia

Dear friends,
Here is the direct link if you are trying to register for the Mustang Island Retreat.

For those of you flying into Corpus Christi for the February alchemical retreat, check with Southwest Airlines. They currently have a sale, and their fares are generally much lower than those of United or American (the other airlines with flights into Corpus Christi. For some of you, it may be much cheaper to fly Southwest to San Antonio and rent a car to drive to the retreat (about a four hour drive).

The onsite spaces are filling up quickly, so if you’re planning to attend, please register soon. For those planning to stay offsite for the commuter rate, this does include meals.

Azar Baksh

For those of you flying into Corpus Christ for the retreat, both Uber and Lyft are the best ways to get from the airport to the retreat center. If you are flying in to Corpus Christi for the retreat, please let me know when your flight will arrive, and if possible, I’ll send you information about others who may be arriving around the same time so you can share an Uber or Lyft. The cost is about $60 to get to the retreat, and that is the cost per vehicle, not per person. If you’re planning to rent a car at the airport when you arrive and you would consider taking someone with you, please let me know that as well.

If you haven’t registered for the retreat and are planning to stay onsite, it would be good to register soon. The last time I checked there were only eight double rooms left.

South Texas blessings,

Azar Baksh

If you are planning to stay off site for the retreat, the commuter rate of $650 includes all meals. There are 2 bedroom condos nearby that can sleep up to 6 people (sleeper sofa in the living room) and 3 bedroom condos that can sleep up to 8 people (also with a sleeper sofa in the living room). If you want to be connected with others interested in sharing a condo, reply to me individually and let me know when you will be arriving, and how many people you would like to split a condo with. I’ll then put you in contact with others who want to share a condo. If you are staying offsite, it would be a good idea for at least one person in each condo to have a rental car to drive to and from the retreat. The alternative would be to use Uber or Lyft.

Dear Azar Baksh

Will there be a way that people from Europe will be able to join livestream?

Thanks and

Blessings

Saki

Dear Saki,

Unfortunately, it will not be feasible to stream the retreat, which will be mostly silent.

Warm (very) greetings,

Azar Baksh
