We are delighted to host Joanna Macy, a treasured elder and activist who evolved a unique synthesis of general systems theory, Buddhism, and deep ecology that has had worldwide influence through her many books, workshops, presentations, and the Work That Reconnects Network.
Joanna is also a dear friend, a walking and talking partner for many years, and one of the warmest, smartest, real-est people I know. While she can be tough-minded in her critique, her joie de vivre and sense of gratitude always shine through.
Join us for a conversation about “living with full, fresh presence and all our vitality and gifts at this particular time when life on Earth is being threatened as never before.” We will explore how to apply Joanna’s work with the psychological and spiritual aspects of ecological awareness that can free us from assumptions and attitudes that are impacting all of life.
You will be invited to share your responses through breakout groups followed by shared questions and reflections.
