We invite you to a weekend online course of the Inayati Order Leaders Training Module on Sacred Sound. This course is a comprehensive and deep training in the meditation practices taught by the Inayati Order. This is invaluable material for teaching classes and guiding Murids.
Completion of the Leaders Training Modules are a requirement for appointment as a Representative. Representatives in training in the Inayati Order Esoteric School Leadership Training program will need to have completed this course during or before their training; existing Coordinators and Coordinators in training are also encouraged to take this course. Existing Representatives are also invited to take this course for ongoing enrichment. It covers material that may not have been available in the past.
The course is also open to those in leadership roles, or training for leadership roles, in the other 5 activities of the Inayati Order, or in leadership roles in one of the member organizations of the Federation of the Sufi Message.
This course is guided by two senior teachers of the Inayati Order, Sitara Mitten-Lewis and Naima Khabira Brown. During this weekend Sitara and Naima will guide participants through the foundational practices of Sacred Sound in a sacred retreat atmosphere. There will be opportunities to ask questions, share experiences and engage in an online community of friendship. Participants will receive a manual of the sacred sound practices which are covered in the course.

Sitara Mitten-Lewis founded the first Sufi Order center in Sydney, Australia in the 1990’s and served as Regional Representative for Australia until 2010. She coordinated the IO Leaders’ Training Committee from 2010 to 2015 and is one of the developers of the Sacred Sound Module. A Senior Teacher, she guides murids and offers retreats and workshops on meditation, music and movement in the US, Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
Naima Khabira Brown is Vice President of the Inayati Order Esoteric School. She is committed to developing and supporting the training and curriculum for the Esoteric School of the Inayati Order. She serves as a Representative, a Retreat Guide and a Cheraga. She was a founding mentor in Suluk Academy, mentoring in Kafur, Alif, Shama, Gulzar and Jabalqa. She has taught the Leaders Training Modules to groups online and locally. Naima lives in the Boston area where she and her husband Aqil offer classes, retreats and events.
