A Celebration of the Life & Spirit of Mikail Davenport for the Sufi Community

Our dear friend and brother Mikail Davenport passed beyond on March 10th, 2021, and all of us who knew and loved him (same thing) now dearly miss his presence here with us. Mikail celebrated life within and without with gusto, and he wished his memorial service to be in the form of a joyous celebration among friends. As Mikail wished, there will be a time during the celebration to share memories, reflections and stories of our beloved friend. And since Mikail was known to be quite fond of certain “libations,” we plan to have a celebratory toast in his honor as part of the service. We encourage each person to bring a drink of your choosing for our toast of Mikail. (If wine is your drink of choice, know that Pinot Grigio was Mikail’s favorite!)
This online celebration is primarily for friends of Mikail within the Sufi community, and Mikail’s family has scheduled a service on May 1 at 2 pm Central at the Church of Conscious Harmony in Austin, Texas. Due to Covid limitations, only family and a few invited friends will be able to gather in person, but the service will be viewable via webcast. We will share that link with you once the family finalizes their plans.
Prior to his passing, Mikail requested that, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor his memory make donations to the Inayatiyya Emergency Relief Fund by sending checks earmarked for the Fund to 112 E.
