Alchemy of Life

Ancient wisdom says “as above, so below.” It is also true “as within, so without.” Often we perceive a gap between our inner life and our everyday experiences, and think that spirituality only takes place with our eyes closed. We can discover that life is our teacher, and life is our practice. We are gifted with never-ending opportunities for awakening and transformation by relating to external circumstances with a radical shift in our vantage point. The exoteric meaning of alchemy is transforming lead to gold, but the true meaning is transforming ourself and the world we are in into one in which a new creation is born at every instant. Our rebirth in the never-ending new creation also brings about alchemy of life itself, in all of its forms. This is a four-week series of classes presented at All Saints Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi, Texas with Azar Baksh and Ravani Rah Weiner. Here is a link to the audio of the first class:

Azar Baksh & Ravani Rah

This is the second in a series of 4 classes given by Azar Baksh and Ravani Rah Weiner at All Saints Episcopal Church. In this class we explain the steps necessary to engage in the alchemical transformation of everyday experiences. A sound practice helps to bring us into a state of attunement. Another practice helps us to see our circumstances in a new light, and guidance is offered on how to get into the consciousness of a person with whom we are having conflict.

This is the third in a series of four classes on the Alchemy of Life by Azar Baksh and Ravani Rah Weiner. We explore questions such as:
Why engage in alchemy?
What motivates and fuels us in the process of alchemy?
Where does alchemy take place?
What does it mean to be a catalyst, and what are the necessary components for alchemy to occur?
What are the four directions of desire?

This is the fourth in a series of four classes on the Alchemy of Life by Azar Baksh and Ravani Rah Weiner. We explore questions such as:
What do we bring to the crucible for alchemy to occur?
What is the role of ishq (desire) in alchemy and what are the four directions of ishq?
What is the allegory of our soul and how can we creatively participate in its unfoldment?
What is the individual purpose of alchemy and what is its collective purpose?
How can we enable alchemy in whatever experiences we are having, whether inner or outer?
