A Call for Prayer and Support

Dear ones,

Our beloved friends and members of our Inayatiyya community, Dilwara and Ashraf Fletcher, have recently suffered the devastating loss of their home in the wildfires that are ravaging our beautiful state of California. Dilwara, whom you may know from her sweet voice on Promise of the Dawn, and Ashraf are safe and resting at Dilwara’s sister’s house. They were able to save their animals but lost everything else they owned in the fire. We ask that you hold our dear friends in your hearts and prayers.

If you would like to help by making a donation, a GoFundMe has been set up to support Ashraf and Dilwara:

With love and gratitude,
Amida Cary

I have made an inquiry twice now to the person who set up the gofundme through the contact button. I have some folks from AZ who would like to contribute via check rather than online. Do you have an address that I could share with those who have asked? I have not yet received a response from my other inquiry.

Thank you!

Sharia Inayat

Dear Sharia Inayat,

Thank you for supporting our beloved friends.
Ashraf just gave me an address where folks can send checks to. He and Dilwara are deeply
appreciative of all the love and support they are being embraced with in the midst of all their loss.
Please email me privately and I will give you the address and answer any questions you might have.
Feel free to share my email with others.

With love,

Thanks for your expression of caring, but how are you two doing in all of this smoke? And how is the rest of our Sufi Family in Sonoma Co. doing?

Thank you for asking, Chaitanya. As far as I know, the Fletchers are the only
ones in the community who have suffered such a terrible loss from the ravages of
this wildfire. Many, though, have their bags packed ready to evacuate at a moment’s
notice. The smoke is very intense. We are all staying indoors with the windows closed
even though we are in a heat wave. But aside from that little discomfort and the sadness
we feel at the suffering all around us, we are doing fine. Love, Qayima and Habibullah
