Dear Friends of the Heart,
In these challenging times, the Kinship Activity sends you wishes for your well-being. We know many hearts are aching from the destruction of lives and communities wrought by the wars in the middle east and elsewhere, and the devastation caused by climate change. We encourage you to join in daily prayer as Pir Zia has asked, invoking “Amaan” while holding the possibility of safety and sanctuary for those suffering in war zones and other areas of devastation.
In addition to our work on the inner planes, we want to remind you of some concrete support available. The Inayatiyya of North America and Oceania hosts an Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) for murids in North America and Oceania. The fund provides murids with one-time awards of up to $1,200 to help address urgent basic needs, including housing (mortgage/rent), utilities (electric/water/gas), and medical services. The Fund is intended to provide emergency assistance after other sources of assistance have been exhausted.
Funds can be requested by the person in need or by an advocate for another person by completing a simple form. Applications can be requested from and submitted to erf@inayatiyya.org. Completed applications will be reviewed by the ERF Oversight Committee, one of whom will quickly contact the applicant.
