What do the healing teachings offer us for navigating this time of the Pandemic, for navigating relationships and really being part of something while being socially distanced?
How do you tend to yourself while isolated?
It’s scary to reach out, because you don’t know what’s happening with other people, how do you reach out to them? What if you don’t know people to reach out to?
In a way we’re forging a new world, a new world that gives equal time to what’s inside as to what’s physically that we can do outside.
I don’t have the answer to all these things but it’s in the pool of our resourcefulness when we all come together, from a place of shared heart connection, not the mushy heart, but the power that is, as my Maori friend Grandmother Rose says, “where we all link in.”
Devi Tide is a Senior Teacher and Retreat Guide of the Inayati Order, and she is the Head of its Healing Activity in North America, New Zealand and Australia. She has offered programs and guided retreats throughout the world for decades. Devi also travels with the Indigenous Grandmothers taking the most ancient aspects of Sufism to the wider world. She was Secretary General to Pir Vilayat, and lives in Seattle, Washington.
