To Be Of Service on Netflix

Josh Aronson’s (Academy Award Nominee) powerful and groundbreaking documentary To Be Of Service will be released on Netflix on November 11 Veterans’ Day. The film is an emotional yet clear eyed view of the great benefits of service dogs with veterans’ struggles with PTSD. Many veterans have told me that because of what happened during their war they believe that God has abandoned them and they are no longer acceptable to God. The wonderful unconditional love the dogs freely give awakens the love in the veteran and a greater love for themselves. Soon the veteran is able to communicate that love in their relationship, to their family, and even to the community. 90 minutes but not for children as there are very emotional scenes. I have three brief (20 seconds each) appearances in the film.

Thank you, Hafiz—my husband and I just watched the film. It was very moving, powerful, devastating and hopeful. Every person in the Congress should be required to see it. I’ve passed it on to a friend who is working with the VA, counseling Veterans. May it help bring the needed support to make Service Dogs available to every veteran who could be helped.

Thank you for your healing work.

Blessings,

Hermione

Thanks Hermione. The executive producer of the film is good friends with a major political figure and will show her the film in hopes of getting some legislation proposed.
Hafiz

Hermione you were prescient in your wish that congress should see the film as Josh Aronson is presenting a showing to both houses.
Hafiz

Hafiz,

That is wonderful news! May hearts open to give the needed support. God bless your work!

With love,

Hermione
