Sharif Munawwir has been a murid since 1970. He worked closely with Pir Vilayat on many of his projects, especially The Message in our Time. From 1982 to 2012 he worked on The Complete Works of Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan, publishing 14 volumes of that series. He was a college professor of literature and religious studies. He recently did two sessions with Taj Inayat through New Rain (now Hurkalya) called “Encountering Murshid.” He lives in retirement in Tucson, Arizona.
