Dear friends,
After I sent out a description of an upcoming 5-week series of zoom classes on the Gabrielite Work, I realized that many of you probably know little or nothing about what the Gabrielite Work is, so here’s some information about it.
The Gabrielite Work is inspired by the teachings of the Ishraqi Sufis, Hazrat Inayat Khan, Pir Vilayat, and the findings of modern science including quantum physics and chaos theory. Pir Zia has given his blessing for the Gabrielite Work to be part of the esoteric school of the Sufi Order. The purpose of the Gabrielite Work is to enable each person to become capable of discovering their own unique divine wisdom which unfolds in the relationship between their human and divine aspects. Much of the Gabrielite Work explores the meeting place between the human and divine, and what takes place and emerges from this meeting place. It involves a process to develop multimodal consciousness (what Pir Vilayat called stereoscopic consciousness). It is a revelatory process which uncovers the creative “Sophianic function” of your being, which is based on an increasingly fuller relationship of inner being to outer being, as well as part to whole, which leads to a concentration of light and wisdom.
The Gabrielite Work aims to help one learn to live from the world of the soul or the resurrection body, in which there is an adamant sense of identity and uniqueness that is not limited to our consciousness being focalized in a particular cross section of time and space. It is possible to discover how to experience ourself as simultaneously existing across times, spaces, and realms of existence, in time and beyond time, with all of the parts continually in relationship with and affecting the other parts. The Sufis say that there is a new creation born in every instant. As we become more awakened, we become more capable of bringing forth the fruit of a transformed desire that began with a divine impulse.
