The retreat is a sacred journey within to the source of perfection and freedom, and offers self-discovery and transformation. It begins by dissolving old, unhelpful patterns and concepts of our personal identity and follows by discovering our deeper selves and interconnectedness with all dimensions of being. Then we consciously integrate the realizations of our highest ideals into the fabric of our personality with a new vision of ourselves and our purpose. This retreat is recommended for anyone seeking a beneficial change in their life.
The supportive atmosphere of a sacred space and companions on the path sharing the process even on Zoom is an especially wonderful opportunity to start the New Year.

On Zoom, the Retreat will be 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. EST each day. Please join the retreat a few minutes early starting at between 9:45 a.m. to settle in.

Aziza Scott, M. Ed., is the emerita head of the Inayatiyya Inner School (aka Inayati Order Esoteric School). She brings insight and experience gained from many years of leading meditation retreats and conducting workshops throughout United States and Europe. Aziza worked closely with Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan for more than 30 years and is a beloved friend of The Abode. She has been a teacher in the Suluk Academy, a school of contemplative study with branches in the United States and Europe.
Yaqin Joseph Aubert is a senior teacher, and the vice president of the Inayatiyya Movement in North America, a mystical and ecumenical fellowship. He has been a teacher in the Suluk Academy. He was initiated into Sufism by Pir Zia’s father Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan. Yaqin has been studying Sufism for more than 40 years. He is a Cherag (minister) in the Universal Worship and guides individual and group retreats. Yaqin is a founding member of The Abode, in upstate New York.
