All welcome to the stories of Migrations of First Peoples of Turtle Island since the last ice age and core teachings of the Anishnaabe Mystics of these Northern territories.
Sonny is a Midewin Retreat Guide and Oral History Keeper.
“David “Sunny” Osawabine of the Debajehmujig Storytellers shares Odawa Medewin Teachings via Zoom once per month, usually on a Friday closest to the 20th. Sunny worked with Wasa (English name: Eddie King) for many years and now leads the Men’s fasting sequence and supports the Women’s fasting sequence. He lives on Wikemikong First Nation unceded territory on Manitoulin Island.”
It is reccomended to hear the story multiple times as dementions are added on each occasion.
For those who have heard these teachings and are interested, we are working on an opportunity for mutual sharing of traditions between Odawa Medewin and the Inayatiyya.

First off, thank you for facilitating our access to the ‘story tellers’. I am wondering if these presentations are being recorded for access at a different time? I realize that a’ live’ communication is more in keeping with traditional ways, but I find myself very challenged by the variety of offerings online versus my duties on our land.

These teachings are disseminated in Sacred Oral Tradition and are not recorded.
These in particular have rarely been open to sharing beyond The Medewin previously.
They are openly available now, in this way, for the healing of these times.
