This video was posted on a FB page hosted by our friend Netanel. During today’s meditation by Bawa during the Spiritual Liberty session, I was so appreciative that he included all creatures plant and animal as being affected by the conflicts. There are two things that have constant companions in my consciousness. One, the question, “How would the world have been totally changed if after the terrible massacre Israel had sealed the borders, paused to mourn, and took time to contemplate, rather than lash out. Pir Vilayat very often offered us the template of Hazrat Ali not killing an enemy in anger.” My other contemplation is the clear example of our own troops suffering ‘moral wounding’ during our invasion of Iraq. i believe this is a new term, at least for me, for the suffering of the human being who is “taught to kill” in what she or he is led to believe is a “good cause”. We must hold these beings in the light. There will be many before the conflict in the Middle East concludes.
