Dear Lovers of Rumi,
This coming weekend over 100 people will collect together for the mystical poet Mevlana Jalal ad-Din Rumi’s 812th Birthday Celebration in Richmond, Virginia with more of us Online.
While the full three-day, in-person event is over capacity and sold out, we most graciously invite you to join us for all day Saturday, September 28, 2019, when we move the program to the Bolling Haxall House, two blocks north of our headquarters, called the Astana. Also you can join the full three days from anywhere in the world online, in real time or by watching the video as your time zone permits. See our schedule, in Eastern Daylight Time, below.

If you plan to join us for Saturday or online, it is important to register in advance while there is space and also so we can send you access details if online. There are special rates for young adults and those with limited income. Please inquire about scholarships, too, via astana@inayatiorder.org.
Together we will welcome honored guest Shaykha Nur Artiran of Istanbul, Turkey and many other teachers, poets, musicians, and whirling dervishes, including Shaykha Fariha of the Nur Ashki Jerrahi Sufi Order in NYC, Cheikh Sufi of the Mouridiyya Order of Sufis out of Senegal, Religion Scholar Dr. Carl Ernst of the University of North Carolina, Turkish Musician Latif Bolat, and Persian Musician Amir Koushkani. Hosted by Pir Zia and Pirani Sartaj of the Inayati Order, a Universalist Sufi Order based in Richmond. All are welcome!
