The Sufis say, “Die before death and resurrect now.” Fana (shattering or annihilation) is always accompanied by baqa (resurrection or rebirth). The fruit of the spiritual journey is birthing the resurrection body which is unique to each soul. In this series of six classes, we will discover the power of true imagination, an instrument of the soul capable of substantiating and vivifying the deepest reality of who we are. We will learn how to welcome the in-between state from one station (maqam) to the station that is emerging – the interval between fana and baqa in which self-organization to a higher modality of being takes place. We will discover metaphors to orient our self in the visionary recital of our soul.

The place of our realizations and spiritual growth is a real place some call barzakh or the imaginal realm where we find familiar beings: “When you see your images which came into existence before you which neither die nor are manifested, how much will you bear.” - from Spiritual Body Celestial Earth b y Henri Corbin

By riding on the current of revealed knowledge instead of referring experiences back to previous concepts and ways of understanding, we learn to understand our transformation in terms of the relationship between the manifest and transcendent aspects of our self. We maintain that which is unique in our self – from the seedbed of divine inheritance to how our being mutates our divine qualities by what is gained by our experiences in manifestation. Revelation is a dynamic, participatory process of emergent wisdom.

The resurrection body is a transparency formed by ongoing spiritual awakening, the immediate presence of the soul to the soul. Alchemy is an operation which treats and perfects this body, which is a mutual creation from both the human and divine aspects of our being. We learn to ground higher states of being in our awakening manifestation of the divine.
