Dear Friends,
Batina and I have produced a simple video of Murshid’s poem, “Before You Judge My Actions,” set to music composed by his brother Shaikh-ul-Mashaik Maheboob Khan, performed by me (Wahhab) on voice and guitar, and accompanied by images of Hazrat Inayat Khan over the span of his lifetime (from age 12 through his last day in the West, Sep. 13th, 1926). We are offering the video for you to download or to play for your own use and/or for any classes or gatherings you may have. The video is a little over three minutes long, and there are two versions: (1) one in which the images of Murshid are displayed without any text, and (2) another in which each image is identified by date and location. Many who have seen both versions have expressed preference for version 1 because of the pure power and presence of the images of Murshid without words. Others have appreciated version 2 because of the information it provides about the dates and locations of the images. You are free to download and/or play either or both versions.

Before You Judge My Actions
Before you judge my actions, Lord,
I pray you will forgive.
Before my heart has broken,
Will you help my soul to live?
Before my eyes are covered,
Will you let me see your face?
Before my feet are tired,
May I reach your dwelling place?
Before I wake from slumber,
You will watch me, Lord, I hold.
Before I throw my mantle,
Will you take me in your fold?
Before my work is over,
You, my Lord, will right the wrong.
Before you play your music,
Will you let me sing my song?
