Universal Worship 100th Anniversary Service**

The Universal Worship Service , as envisioned by Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan, in collaboration with his closest students at the beginning of the 20th Century, honors the unity of all through the diverse and sacred expressions of the world’s religions.
The 100th year anniversary of the Universal Worship is today, Friday, May 7th, 2021. You are most cordially invited to join us in a few hours time for a Universal Worship 100th Anniversary Service. We will begin at 9 am Eastern Time to accommodate our friends around the world, from the United States West Coast (6 am) to New Zealand (1 am, Saturday, May 8th). Please try to join us, from wherever you currently may be, for a collective rising up above religious differences and distinctions.
Candles simultaneously lit in many nations will pay homage and honor Hazrat Inayat Khan’s vision of a Universalist service uniting the adherents of Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and those religious traditions known and unknown to the world.
Special guests and musicians from across the globe will contribute their unique gifts including scriptural readings, music, and prayers.
The service will run for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and be offered in Deutsch, Francais, Russian, Turkish & English.
Special guests include Swami Yogatmananda of the Vendanta Society of Providence, Rhode Island; Sensei Shun’E Ulrike Greenway of Heidelberg, Germany; Ervad Dr. Jehan Bagli, a Zoroastrian leader in Toronto, Ontario; Rabbi David Breitkopf of Jerusalem; Reverend LuTimothy May of Pensacola, Florida; Dr. amina wadud in Indonesia; Yuval Ron, a world-renowned musician and composer based in Los Angeles; the acclaimed Classical Indian Musician, Rekha Bhardwaj, from Mumbai, India; Saraswati Diana DeVries, a harpist out of The Netherlands; Mehmet Ungan, a sociologist, musician and lecturer in Mannheim, Germany; Céline Timsit, flutist from France; Freny Nina Pavri of London; and Pir Zia Inayat Khan, lineage carrier holding Hazrat Inayat Khan’s legacy.
