The journey of the soul is a process of maturation. A divine seed planted first in the akasha of possibility, then seasoned in the earthy loam of manifestation, rises up as a plant reaching for its home in the warmth of the sun. Its nature is light, it awakens into light, it gives itself into the light, and finally it returns to the light. Its progress in the realms of light depends on ripening and sweetness, the development of the heart quality. This retreat is an exploration of our relationship with light as it has passed through successive stages.
Suhrawardi Gebel is a senior teacher in the Inayatiyya. He served as Secretary General from 2004 to 2012 and Chancellor of the Knighthood from 2010 to 2022. He is currently enjoying the role of mentor for leaders in training in the Inner School and for the Retreat Guide Training. He is the author of two published books, Root Speaks to Bud and Nature’s Hidden Dimension, and a forthcoming book, No God or Only God- No God or Only God w/ Suhrawardi Gebel - Inayatiyya.
