**Food needs to be grown and processed, transported, distributed, prepared, consumed, and sometimes disposed of.** Each of these steps creates greenhouse gasses that trap the sun’s heat and contribute to climate change. About a third of all human-caused greenhouse gas emissions is linked to food. **In this gathering we will explore how we can be more attentive to caring for the world through our food choices.** Participants are invited to share information about what their local communities are doing to make the processing and disposal of food more Earth-friendly.
