Dear Ones,
One of my fondest tools of technology is the ability to create community without borders.
One of my favorite things about community is seeing your face! (And seeing the face of God in every face I see!)
Time, geography, life, get in the way of real-time face-to-face, so…

That is a wonderful idea, which I would happily comply with if someone would append a (simple) set of instructions for how to do so.

Dear Tomas,

  Log in to the Jamiat Am site (If you're not sure how to do this,

you’ll have to ask for help from the technology person at the
Astana - my own user name and password never work, so I always
choose to log in via e-mail)

  Once you are logged in, you will see a circle in the upper right

corner - mine has my picture in it, you will see the first initial
of your User Name.

Click on that.

A drop down menu will open. Click on your name.

  This will open a new page that has your name in the upper left

  Under your name there is are several tabs - Summary, Activity,

… Preferences. Click on Preferences

  You will now see Account in bold at the top of the left column,

and in the next column:

User Name

Profile Picture

Name

e-mail

etc

Under Profile Picture, click on the pencil.

Choose “Custom Picture”,

then click on upload.

  Scroll through your computer files to find the picture you want

to use, click on it.

  Lastly, be sure to click Save Changes at the bottom of the

Account page!

Great! And, yes, it worked, I see your face!
I also just noticed that we can communicate one-on-one, which is probably what I should have done with those instructions.
If you click on the ‘conversation’ (after you are logged in), you’ll see our interaction, and you can use “Reply” to get to this message box. I believe then it will deliver only to that person.
Ahhhh, technology.
