Details:
Course recommended for: Pir Zia encourages candidates for all leadership positions to attend Leadership Training Modules; they are a requirement for appointment as a Representative. The course is open to Leaders and Leaders-in-training in any of the 6 Activities of the Inayati Order: the Esoteric School, Healing, Zira’at, Universal Worship, Kinship, Knights of Purity, as well as Retreat Guides and The Dances of Universal Peace.
Advanced murids are welcome with the guide’s recommendation. The Trainings are open to those in leadership or leadership training in one of the member organizations of the Federation of the Sufi Message.
Course curriculum and format: The weekend offers comprehensive, sacred teachings in a manner that will be interactive, inspiring, and experiential within a retreat-like atmosphere. Current breath teachings and practices in use in the Order are shared including those of Pir-o-Murshid, Pir Vilayat, and Pir Zia. There is time for dyads to share from the heart, questions, and subhat. The Breath Module deepens one’s relation with the teachings, provides exquisite material to offer to classes and to murids, and enlivens your relation with and realization of the beauty, power and divinity of breath in daily life. One meets and joins in with an online community of friends.
Aqdasi is a senior teacher and Retreat Guide in the Inayati Order. She helped develop the Leaders Training Modules, teaches online Inayati classes, and mentors Retreat Guides, Coordinators, and Representatives. She was a mentor for 2 Suluk classes and on the Steering Committee for the Online Suluk Class, Nasim. Recently, Aqdasi collaborated with the Esoteric Training Committee to update Leadership Training, compiling a detailed Mentor’s Addendum/Reference for current Inayati practices. With her partner, Hadi Newmark, she coordinates the Online Inayati Order Center in Half Moon Bay, CA. She holds a PhD in psychology and has been a lifelong psychotherapist.
