Divine Qualities in the Four Directions

Dear friends,

I would like to share a new way of working with the divine qualities from recent inspirations in my meditations.

Pir Vilayat described four directions of meditation: 1) The transcendent, beyond name and form 2) Turning within, where everything is interconnected 3) The cosmic, including all the realms of manifestation 4) Awakening in life, the emergence of divinity in existence In this class, I share recent inspirations about ways of working with any of the divine qualities (wazaif) in each of these four directions. Hazrat Inayat Khan said, “Wisdom is born out of the co-mingling of the knowledge of the heavens with the know-how of the earth.” Pir Vilayat says, "Such is genuine creativity. It is unpredictable and hence involves levels of reality beyond the known. We can experience divine qualities as modalities of relationship between the human and divine aspects of our being. Both sides evolve by the interplay of the light of wisdom contributed by both our human and divine parts. Furthermore, each divine quality is transmuted and evolves as a result of what is born in the new creation that takes place in each instant.
