Just as the incompletely mixed ingredients of maple butter cause there to be grit in the butter, the unfoldment of divinity in manifestation is never finished and there will always be grit, the places of challenges and difficulties which are part of the self-organization of life to a higher capacity. Each of us has a unique role to play in the creation of new possibilities by our way of bringing about harmony and transformation in whatever we are experiencing. Instead of perceiving karma as “paying for” the consequences of past actions, we can view difficulties as akin to the sand in an oyster which is necessary for the pearl to form. The fruit of such a transformation is a gift which becomes available to everything in existence. Every circumstance is a portal to the sacred.

Attunement of course benefits our health and equanimity, but it is only a first step in being able to participate in the cosmic symphony. We are not passive in this process but actively contribute that which is unique to our being.
Your imagination is an expression of the creative imagination of the whole universe funneled down through the personal bias in a constrained fashion. Trust your imagination when it is enlisted by your passion for the sublime, because it is through that ecstasy that the universe organizes itself as you. We can work with any Divine quality by using the quality as a means of co-creating with the Divine through the modality of that quality – such as beauty.
